WOODLAND WARRIOR

These two pieces of work were for a DIY project we did on sustainable fashion. out theme was warrior and I decided to create a forestry theme around it. as we were unable to buy material as that would defeat the purpose of sustainable. I decided to make my outfit out of potato sack and leaves. I designed 20 garment ideas and it came down to seven final ideas. I decided to make the first outfit and it went very successfully. I also used an old bike helmet which I decorated with leaves and greenery.

TREND BOARD

This is a trend board which I produced on photo shop. After researching into the latest trends on trend websites I decided to base my trend on skin tones. I had the problem of having to many photos I wanted to use to give examples of the trend so I simply layered the board more and edited the opacity of some images which turned out to add a nice effect. I also added a colour tone graph to give a better example of the colour trend I was experimenting with.

LIFE DRAWINGS

These are five life drawings which I sketched by hand and then scanned in as my pencil markings were to light and needed to be darker. A live model was unfortunately not available to me at the point of drawing these so I had to look up models to draw online. I found some on http://artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/ which had a range of live models in different positions to choose from.

KANYE WEST EDITORIAL

This is an editorial piece I did on Kanye West. I used images from his collection in the same tones so that the page came together and contrasted well. I first wrote the text up on word and then created this on photo shop. I can see this kind of lay out in magazines such as LOVE or POP as they use quirky lay outs.

PRETTY WOMAN

I decided for a personal project I would design outfits based on the movie 'pretty woman'. For the mood board I decided to use bold colours and important scenes from the film. I created this board using photo shop with the help of the snipping tool technique to add effect to the images. after researching more into the costume design for the film I decided on 3 final designs which I drew by hand and then edited into photo shop to create a line up. I also added working drawings which I drew through photo shop. I took parts of each outfit they had produced for the film and interpreted them with my own ideas.

BOTANICAL

These two pieces of work were produced in year one for our chosen theme 'botanical'. I produced this mood board that includes Valentino as that was my main inspiration for this theme. I produced this board on photo shop by altering the opacity of the images for effect. once I had produced the dress I then went to Cannock Chase where I took several pictures in my dress to produce a campaign photo based on Valentino. I love the outcome of my photo shoot as the boldness of the flowers really compliments the colouring for the dress. I edited this through photo shop to emphasise the colouring.

TWO FACED

This is an illustration I produced inspired by an artist I follow on tumblr known as 'wigansworld'. I did this independently at home and it had no involvement in my college work. I was inspired by recent events of people being two faced in my life and decided to shift my anger into a sketch or two. I first produced this by hand and then scanned it into Photoshop to make the colours more bold to the eye.

LACE LUXURY

This is a development board for a bra I made for a theme I thought of 'lace luxury' I did this in contrast with my other project latex lingerie as a contrast between the two. I chose these images as they were similar to the outcome I wanted for my bra. It was very successful seeing as it was the first bra I made and came out very similar to the image on the right.

As i am applying for contour fashion as well as overall design, i wanted to include some lingerie pieces which resembles my style and give the universities a taste of what i am interested in and want to further develop in the future.

FRIENDSHIP

This is a photo shoot I did in the first year of my fashion course which was based on friendship. I took inspiration from LOVE magazine when they had an editorial interview on Kendall Jenner and Cara Delavigne who were doing a natural photo shoot in a friendly manner. I decided to place the camera on a tripod and the settings in so that a picture would be taken 5 times in a matter of seconds. This was a fun approach as it was interesting to see what occurred when posing for the images so quickly and the final outcome was what I was hoping for.

LATEX LINGERIE PROJECT

Due to my interest in lingerie and undergarments I decided to do a project on latex lingerie. I produced a simple mood board that includes images from Chromat AW15 collection as they had similar designs that I had in mind. I then produced 10 late designs related to the theme and picked out my 5 favourites to place onto my final design board. I produced this by hand then corrupted it through Photoshop by adding a latex layer image to the garments making them seem for realistic.

FMP DESIGN BOARD

These are the final 16 designs produced that are for my final major project 'on the skin'. They were first produced by hand then I scanned them in to touch them up and tidy up the edges and fill in the garments with colour for a more matte approach. as shown I have used very earth tone colours and added wording onto the garments to make sure the message I want to get across is heard. For the background of this board I used Victim blaming and slut shaming walks that have been protested in the past as this feels appropriate to the theme.

YEEZY MOOD BOARD

This is a mood board I produced inspired by Kanye West's collection. I have made this board using Photoshop methods. This is one of my favourite boards I have produced as the layout is simplistic yet organised. with the images being in the same colour contract the board is easy on the eye and prevents you from feeling overwhelmed.

FMP DEVELOPMENT

These two pieces of work are from my sketchbook development for research into my chosen final major project 'on the skin'. In all the E-portfolio requests i have been given they have always asked for a large variety of development work, i couldn't think of a better way of showing this than adding parts of my sketchbook into one big board.

This is based around victim blaming of sexual abuse based on what they are wearing etc. I chose this theme as I wanted to make a political approach and send a message out through my work that would stand out. i myself am a very strong minded person who is opinionated and base a lot of my work around problems in our society. with that being said i wanted to show not only the issues going on in the world right now, but also what i as a person am like. As shown, I have included Kanye West's collection as an inspiration point as the items of clothing I'm planning on producing are incredibly similar.
