WOODLAND WARRIOR
These two pieces of work were for a DIY project we did on sustainable fashion. out theme was warrior and I decided to create a forestry theme around it. as we were unable to buy material as that would defeat the purpose of sustainable. I decided to make my outfit out of potato sack and leaves. I designed 20 garment ideas and it came down to seven final ideas. I decided to make the first outfit and it went very successfully. I also used an old bike helmet which I decorated with leaves and greenery.
TREND BOARD
This is a trend board which I produced on photo shop. After researching into the latest trends on trend websites I decided to base my trend on skin tones. I had the problem of having to many photos I wanted to use to give examples of the trend so I simply layered the board more and edited the opacity of some images which turned out to add a nice effect. I also added a colour tone graph to give a better example of the colour trend I was experimenting with.
LIFE DRAWINGS
These are five life drawings which I sketched by hand and then scanned in as my pencil markings were to light and needed to be darker. A live model was unfortunately not available to me at the point of drawing these so I had to look up models to draw online. I found some on http://artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/ which had a range of live models in different positions to choose from.
KANYE WEST EDITORIAL
This is an editorial piece I did on Kanye West. I used images from his collection in the same tones so that the page came together and contrasted well. I first wrote the text up on word and then created this on photo shop. I can see this kind of lay out in magazines such as LOVE or POP as they use quirky lay outs.
PRETTY WOMAN
I decided for a personal project I would design outfits based on the movie 'pretty woman'. For the mood board I decided to use bold colours and important scenes from the film. I created this board using photo shop with the help of the snipping tool technique to add effect to the images. after researching more into the costume design for the film I decided on 3 final designs which I drew by hand and then edited into photo shop to create a line up. I also added working drawings which I drew through photo shop. I took parts of each outfit they had produced for the film and interpreted them with my own ideas.
BOTANICAL
These two pieces of work were produced in year one for our chosen theme 'botanical'. I produced this mood board that includes Valentino as that was my main inspiration for this theme. I produced this board on photo shop by altering the opacity of the images for effect. once I had produced the dress I then went to Cannock Chase where I took several pictures in my dress to produce a campaign photo based on Valentino. I love the outcome of my photo shoot as the boldness of the flowers really compliments the colouring for the dress. I edited this through photo shop to emphasise the colouring.
TWO FACED
This is an illustration I produced inspired by an artist I follow on tumblr known as 'wigansworld'. I did this independently at home and it had no involvement in my college work. I was inspired by recent events of people being two faced in my life and decided to shift my anger into a sketch or two. I first produced this by hand and then scanned it into Photoshop to make the colours more bold to the eye.
